Well, the wind was blowing, the sun was shining and it was my birthday so I just had to go out for a windsurf. The wind didn't seem that strong so I walked across to the beach with my big wave board and a 5.7m sail and went out with that. To start with I was just nicely powered and able to blast around without any problems. I went across to Abedovey a couple of time, then Chris turned up and the beach and we both went over towards Aberdovey again. It was fairly rough across the bar which made things interesting.

I then worked my way upwind to Graveyards before going on a mad run all the way into Borth. By the time I got there I was quite a way upwind (out to sea) so just because I could I sailed out beyond the cliff, past the lifeboat station and gybed inline with Aberwennol beach before making the long trip North back to Ynyslas. The wind had filled in by now and I was maxed out so had some nice flat out blasting in amongst the waves as the sunset.... Lovely.

I even got to try out my birthday present, a new aquapac for my GPSr
